Bridleway EE226A at Woodnesborough and Sandwich Definitive Map Modification Order 2020

Consultation has concluded

We have received an application to amend the legal record of Public Rights of Way, known as the Definitive Map, by upgrading part of Public Footpath EE226A at Woodnesborough and Sandwich to Bridleway status.

Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, the County Council may make an Order to modify the Definitive Map where it is considered that a public right of way ought to be shown at a different status.

In this case, a Definitive Map Modification Order has been made to upgrade the route subject to the application to Bridleway status. Following advertisement of the Order, one objections has been received and therefore, as required, the matter has been referred to the Planning Inspectorate for determination.

UPDATE: This Order has now been confirmed and has taken legal effect.
