A Strategy for the Future of Education in Kent 2025-2030
The strategy aims to respond to the needs of children and young people, their parents and carers, and those in the education profession, while delivering our statutory duties. It is built on partnership working to deliver an excellent education for our children and young people, strong effective schools and system-wide cohesion. Ambition, curiosity and resilience are the three most important things we think a child needs to achieve a good education. These are our key areas of focus in the strategy.
We’ve developed this draft ‘Strategy for the Future of Education in Kent 2025-2030’ by listening to families, carers, children and young people, schools and providers, education professionals, and partners. We would now like to hear your feedback on the proposed strategy.

The views expressed in this consultation will be compiled into a consultation report. It will be used to help update a final version of the strategy. The consultation report and final strategy is expected to be reported to Members of the Children, Young People and Education Cabinet Committee in February 2025 and will be taken into consideration before a decision on the final Strategy for the Future of Education in Kent 2025-2030 is made by the Cabinet Member for Education and Skills.
