Applications to transfer rights of common at Higham Common (CL86)
We have received two applications in respect of the transfer of rights of common held in gross (i.e. not attached to land) in respect of registered Common Land at Higham Common (register unit CL86).
The first application (reference CAA26) has been made under Schedule 3 of the Commons Act 2006 and seeks to update entry number 2 of the Rights Section of the Register to reflect the transfer of ownership of the rights following the deaths of the currently-registered rights holders.
The second application (reference CAA27), made under section 12 of the Commons Act 2006, seeks to transfer the rights of common to a third party.
The two applications are being dealt with concurrently given that they affect the same rights.
Details of the applications can be found in the Documents section, along with a plan showing Higham Common and the relevant extract from the Rights Section of the Register of Common Land for CL86.
The deadline for objections in respect of both applications is Friday 10 January 2025.
