Church Road, Mersham in Ashford - Amendment 11: Waiting restrictions

Consultation has concluded

The effect of this made Order will to introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions (double yellow lines) on Church Road, Mersham, in the Borough of Ashford:

  • on the south east side from the northern kerb line of the entrance to The Farriers Arms for a distance of 53 metres in a north easterly direction.
  • on the north east side from a point opposite and in line with the southern kerb line of the entrance to The Farriers Arms for a distance of 75 metres in a north easterly direction.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 1 May 2023, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
