Church Hill, Eythorne in the District of Dover - Amendment 4: Waiting Restriction

The effect of the named Order will introduce or amend double yellow lines no waiting restrictions at any time on the following length of roads in Eythorne, Dover:-

  • Adelaide Road – (1) On the west side from its junction with Church Hill for a distance of 13 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On its east side extend the existing “SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR” markings by 9 meters on either side from its junction with Church Hill.
  • Barfreston Road – (1) On the north side from its junction with Church Hill and Adelaide Road for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the southwest side from its junctions with Adelaide road and Church Hill for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction.
  • Church Hill - (1) On both sides of its junction with Adelaide Road and Barfreston Road for a distance of 28 metres in a south easterly direction. (2) On the south west side 30 metres from its junction with Shepherdswell for a distance of 70 metres in a north westerly direction. (3) On the north east side 30 metres from its junction with Sherpherdwell Road for a distance of 90 metres in a north westerly direction. (4) Relocating the existing disabled parking bay from the westerly boundary for 1 Rectory Bungalows by a distance of 8.5 metres in a north westerly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road.


The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
