Cheriton High Street, Folkestone in the District of Folkestone - Amendment 10: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce or replace existing waiting restrictions double yellow lines on the following lengths of roads in Folkestone, Folkestone and Hythe:-

  • Cheriton High Street – From a point 2.5 metres north west of the boundary with 213/215 Cheriton High Street for a distance of 42 metres in a north westerly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • facilitate the passage of buses and heavy goods vehicles through the junction
  • reduce the likelihood of conflicts with pedestrians crossing at the refuge island
  • reduce the likelihood of damage to parked vehicles and the highway infrastructure.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
