Public Footpath CH34 (Part) At Herne & Broomfield - Definitive Map Modification Order 2021

Consultation has concluded

Kent County Council has received an application, and subsequently made an Order, to amend the legal record of Public Rights of Way, known as the Definitive Map and Statement by amending part of the alignment of Public Footpath CH34 at Herne & Broomfield.

The 1981 Act states that the Highway Authority may make a Definitive Map Modification Order to amend the Definitive Map and Statement if it is shown that the right of the public to use it is at least reasonably alleged to subsist.

The County Council has made an order after considering historical mapping evidence that showed it was reasonable to allege that the Definitive Map and Statement should be amended to delete the current recorded alignment of Public Footpath CH34 (as shown by the purple line between Points A-B in the Order Plan) and to add a different alignment of Public Footpath CH34 (as shown by the dashed black line between points B-C in the Order Plan)

Further details about the application (including how to respond) and a plan showing the proposal can be found by viewing 'CH34 DMMO Order Documents' in the Documents section.
