Central Parade & High Street, Herne Bay, Canterbury - Amendment 2: Waiting Restrictions
Consultation has concluded
The effect of this proposed Order would be to amend the existing waiting restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following length of roads in Herne Bay in the District of Canterbury -
- Central Parade – (1) on the northern side to remove the bays parking bays that are outside the entrance to the Pier (2) on the northern side to remove the disabled persons parking bays outside the entrance to the Pier (3) on the southern side to remove the coach bays outside the entrance to the Pier.
- High Street – (1) on the southern side remove one parking bay from outside number 48 High Street.
This order is being made for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
- for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
- for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
