Consultation has concluded
Kent County Council received an application (on behalf of the local planning authority), and subsequently made an Order, to divert part of Public Footpath CC26 in Canterbury.
Under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, an Order may be made to close or divert a Public Footpath, Bridleway or Restricted Byway where it is necessary to do so to enable development to take place.
On 7 May 2019 Canterbury City Council confirmed the above Order under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and on the 27 March 2024 Kent County Council – on behalf of Canterbury City Council – certified that the terms of Article 2 have been complied with, and as such the order has come into effect.
