Burton Avenue, Sevenoaks - 7.5 Tonne Weight Limit Restriction Order

The effect of this proposed Order would be to revoke the existing order and issue an amended order to allow goods vehicles with a maximum permissible laden weight of which exceeds 7.5 tonne to proceed in those lengths of road specified in the Schedule of the Order to deliver exemptions are provided in the Order for access etc.

Roads in Leigh subject to a 7.5 Tonne Weight Limit Restriction as stated below:-

  • Burton Avenue - For its entire length.

This order is being made for the following reason:

  • to reduce the amount of unnecessary through traffic by large vehicles to prevent danger to persons especially pedestrians, prevent damage to the roads and buildings and preserving the amenities of the area.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
