The effect of this made Order will be to introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following length of roads in Ashford:-
Brunswick Road – On the north side from a point 21.5 metres west of the junction with Hilton Road extend the double yellow lines and reduce the single yellow lines by 58.5 metres in a westerly direction.
Hilton Road - (1) On the western side from a point 15 metres north of the junction with Brunswick Road reduce the single yellow lines to 80 meters. (2) On the western side from a point 95 metres north of the junction with Brunswick Road change the single yellow lines to double yellow lines for a distance of 42.5 metres in a northerly direction.
This order has been made for the following reasons:
for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic
(including pedestrians).
Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 16 January 2023, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
