Boucher Drive, Gravesend in the Borough of Gravesham - Amendment 7: Waiting Restriction

The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce no waiting at any time double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Northfleet, Gravesend, Gravesham:-

  • Boucher Drive – On the west side from its junction with White Avenue place DYLs and a loading restriction Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm for a distance of 14 metres in a southerly direction.
  • Grieves Road – On both sides of the junction with White Avenue place loading restriction Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.
  • White Avenue - (1) On the north west side place DYLs and loading restrictions Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm from the junction with Boucher Driver to meet up with the existing school keep clear markings. (2) On both sides of the junction with Grieves Road place loading restrictions Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm for distance of 7 metres. (3) Place a loading restriction Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm around the whole of the island opposite 22 White Avenue.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.


The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
