Various roads, Bicknor Green in Maidstone - Amendment 42: Waiting restriction order

The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road:

Buffkyn Way – double yellow lines

  • On the north east side from its junction with Gore Court Road for a distance of 40 meters in a south easterly direction.
  • On the south west side from its junction with Gore Court Road for a distance of 31 metres in a south easterly direction.

Ellis Field – double yellow lines

  • On both sides from its junction with Pentecost Lane for a distance of 5 metres in an easterly direction.

Gore Court Road – double yellow lines

  • On both sides from a point 36 metres south west of its junction with Buffkyn Way to a point 11 metres north of its junction with Pentecost Lane.

Pentecost Lane – double yellow lines

  • Both sides for its entire length.

Sendles Field – double yellow lines

  • On both sides from its junction with Pentecost Lane for a distance of 5 metres in a southerly direction.

Sutton Road – double yellow lines

  • Around the entire circumference of the traffic layby island opposite the junction with Buffkyn Way.

  • On the south western side of the eastern end of the layby for a distance of 14.5 metres in a westerly direction.
  • Between points 35.5 metres and 45.5 metres.
  • Between 52.5 metres and 59 metres.
  • Between 90.5 metres and to its junction with the west end of the layby.

To install a 24 hour loading bay

  • On the southern side at the eastern end of the layby from a point 14.5 metres for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction.

White Horse Lane – double yellow lines

  • On both sides from the junction with Pentecost Lane for a distance of 164 metres in an easterly direction.

This order is being made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
