Great Chart with Singleton - Public Footpath AW209, AW213 and AW387 and Public Bridleway AW243 and AW244 2021 Orders

Consultation has concluded

Kent County Council has received an application, and subsequently made an Order, to divert parts of Public Bridleway AW243, part of Public Bridleway AW244, extinguish part of Public Footpaths AW209 and AW213 and created Public Footpath AW387.

Under the Highways Act 1980, an Order may be made to divert a Public Footpath, Bridleway or Restricted Byway where it is in the interests of the landowner and/or the public to do so. In considering a proposal, the County Council will have regard to whether the new route is substantially less convenient to the public and the impact of the proposed diversion on the public enjoyment of the route as a whole.
