Avocet Way, Kingsnorth in the Borough of Ashford - Amendment 7: Prohibition of Traffic Movements

The effect of this proposed Order would be to prohibit all vehicles from entry except buses on Avocet Way in Kingsnorth/Sevington, Ashford - extend the existing bus gate from a point 293 metres northeast from its junction with Damara Way by 150 metres in a northeasterly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
