A228 Whetsted Road, East Peckham in the Borough of Tonbridge and Malling - Amendment 5: Prohibition of Traffic Movements
The effect of this proposed Order would be to prohibit all horse drawn vehicles and associated horses from entry on the following length of roads in East Peckham, Tonbridge and Malling:-
- Boyle Way (A228) – For its entire length.
- Whetsted Road (A228) – From its junction with Boyle Way to its district boundary with Maidstone
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road.
for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
