Spital Street, Dartford in the Borough of Dartford - Amendment 4: Waiting Restrictions
The effect of this made Order will be to introduce and amend various parking, waiting and loading restrictions on the following lengths of roads in Dartford:-
Highfield Road North – On the east side from a point 13 metres north of its junction with Spital Street remove the double yellow lines and replace it with a bus stop clearway for a distance of 32 metres in a northerly direction.
Hythe Street – On both sides from its junction with Spital Street for a distance of 21 metres in a northerly direction introduce a restricted parking zone and remove all other parking and waiting restrictions.
Spital Street – (1) On the north side remove the Business permit holders only from outside no 45 Spital Street. (2) On the north side remove the existing payment parking bay outside of 45-53/55 Spital Street and replace it with a goods vehicle loading bay only (1 hour no return within 1 hour Mon-Sat 8am-6:30pm). (3) On the north side reduce the existing solo motor cycle bay opposite 28 Spital Street by 12 metres. (4) On the north side reduce the disabled bay 6 metres outside 11 Spital Street. (5) On the north side between 3a and 7 Spital Street remove the existing disabled bay outside 3a and reduce the bay to 13 metres outside 3-5a only and between 5a and 7 make the bay a loading bay only times as above. (6) On the south side extend the existing double yellow lines from the eastern boundary of 72 Spital Street for an additional 10 metres in a easterly direction. (7) On the north side remove the Goods vehicle loading bay outside of 37-41 Spital Street. (8) On the both sides introduce a restricted parking zone (no waiting and loading at any time except in signed bays) from a point in line with the eastern boundary of 57 and 68 Spital Street to its junction with Hythe Street and remove all the other parking, waiting and loading restrictions within this zone.
This order has been made for the following reasons:
for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
